Manage Your Time To Achieve Results

1. The habit of setting clear, specific objectives in writing. When you have a clear, precise objective or desired outcome in mind, you become focused and effective in your energy output.

2. The habit of carefully making plans to achieve specific objectives...including target dates. "Work expands to fill the time available for its completion."

3. The habit of doing first things first. First is writing things down!!!

4. The habit of doing creative and important person communication work when most refreshed and doing routine and mechanical work when the fatigue level is higher. (Most of us do just the opposite.)

5. The habit of holding affective meetings, characterized by a specific written purpose, an agenda sent out in individual preparation and carefully recorded note-taking. Sunday and church meetings are not for planning, but for DOING.

6. The habit of organizing healthy blocks of time for important creative work, such as planning or working on projects, and for vital communication or training work.

7. The habit of taking time to get feedback on your communication.

8. The habit of taking time with your key people- understanding, delegating, committing, training, encouraging, appreciating.

9. The courage to say not to the unimportant!!!!
