Every night when you get home toss your loose coin change into a jar, if you want to save more then toss your $1 bills into the jar also. At the end of the week count and roll your coins and take them to the bank to deposit into you savings account. My husband and I have saved hundreds of dollars doing this.

For me limiting myself to 1 trip a week to Wal-Mart saves me a bundle. Plus it keeps me organized because I have to shop from a list.
Another idea I heard of when I was a poor college student was to only purchase the items on the list.  If it's not on the list, chances are you can live with out it. One thing I do like about shopping at a super Wal-Mart (despite the crowds and long lines) is that they will except other supermarkets advertisements. That alone will save a ton of time and money!
