Thrifty Living ideas

When my kids were small, I would save all the tubes to paper towels, toilet paper rolls, small boxes of different sizes, cardboard from sheets and packages, extra rope, ribbon, etc. and put them in a larger box.  We would create things from them such as:  animals, castles, and treasure boxes to hold their special stuff . We had allot of fun and they still remember it to this day. Not bad for using things we normally throw away!
We also would save all the crust from the bread the kids did not like and put them in a plastic bag in the freezer.  When it was filled, we were off to feed the ducks. They loved doing this and it cost us a little gas for the car and some crust from bread we would of thrown out.

I have also made a meal time menu and shopping list for a long time and it saves my family so much money and time in the end. The money I save can go to something fun or things that we need.

Picnics have always been a favorite of mine. I love preparing the food and being creative in the process. There are so many beautiful place to put down a blanket and enjoy a meal that it would almost be impossible to run out of places to see. You can pack simple foods to romantic foods for you and your sweetheart. Watching a sunset and eating on a blanket is the best.

By: Shiloah Baker
I am a very sentimental and nostalgic person and love to hang on to certain outfits that my children have worn.  Outfits that remind me of them and the growing years, outfits that were worn for a special event such as blessings or baptisms.  I began to ponder ideas on how to display or save these outfits for .
