FHE Game Ideas

Hide-N-Go-Seek

One of our family's favorite games! Our children are still young (ages 4, 2, 1), but they are old enough to enjoy this game. They are really good at hiding!

Simon Says

Have someone be the leader and tells everyone what to do. You should only do what the leader says if he/she says "Simon says" or else you're out!
This isn't too complicated of a game. This game teaches them to pay attention.

Red Light, Green Light, 1-2-3

Another fun game for young ones. Have the leader turn in circles with his/her eyes closed until he/she has said, "Red light, green light, 1-2-3!"
Everyone else moves toward the leader as fast as they can, but as soon as he/she says "3" then you must be still. If you are caught moving you have to go back to the start.
I like this game as, you aren't ever "out."

Button, Button- Who's got the button?

Everyone sits in a circle. One person leaves the room. One person gets a button and everyone clenches their fist behind their backs. The object is for the person to come back in the room and guess who has the button!

This idea is wonderful for Family Home Evenings. A note can communicate love and appreciation over and over as the person who receives it reads it and rereads it. As a family, discuss these suggestions for writing your own personal notes: ...more
