Family Home Evening Bags

by: Janice Thomas

Family Home Evening Bags

Materials Needed:

*An old tote bag or backpack
*An FHE Manual
*church videos such as the ones from the distribution center or Saturday's Warriors
*a set of scriptures
*a bag of popcorn

Put it all together in the bag.  When time for family home evening, one of your family members can get the ready made bag!

*To make this bag for a Home, Family & Personal Enrichment night, the following is suggested by Janice Thomas for a mini-class.

I had each Sister bring an old tote bag or backpack to class.  I also had them sign up ahead if they didn't have or needed a new FHE manual.  I then ordered new Manuals from the distribution catalog.  (Pay in advance).  The idea was to keep everything your family needs for FHE in a quick to grab bag.

This is handy for Children and Husbands !
I demonstrated the different sections of the FHE manual, and then gave
them  handouts for ideas for games, refreshments, etc.  I also included a
bag of microwave popcorn for those last minute refreshments.  Also I
showed them the FHE videos, from the distribution center for cheap, and
also to keep a video your family enjoys, such as Saturdays Warrior,
Disney etc.

The Theme for the HFPE Night was "It's in the bag" and the other Idea was Brown Bagging it: Fun Kid Lunches, , FHE: It's in the bag! , and the third class was:  I'm Bagged!  A class on overcoming fatigue. Round Robin Style worked well for me.
