Nature Lover's Basket

I have an idea for basket making.   Make it a nature lovers' basket - and fill it with items pertaining to the recipient's favorite animal.  For example, last year, my dad had a basket made with just things from the ocean, as I am a whale and ocean lover.  The basket was even made out of seashells.  To this day I have it and use it to put in my bubble baths.

A Day At The Beach

I had a gift basket idea that I made for my son , I call it "A Day At The Beach".   I got a big basket; I decorated the outside of the basket with sea shells.   For a filler I put blue tissue paper in the bottom of the basket.  Then I filled the basket with little plastic shovels, toy boats, a little bucket and some little toy sea animals . My son loved it !  Every time he's in his sand box it's like being at the beach. :)

Movie Theme

I had an idea for a gift basket theme, it is a movie theme.  Instead of a basket, use a big popcorn bowl. Fill with a 6 pack of soda, some theater size bags of candy, a couple microwave bags of popcorn and a movie the whole family can enjoy. I have given this to both my little brothers and they both loved it.

New Dad Basket

Actually, if you get a muslin tool belt found at a hardware store and fill it with diapers, wipes, a pacifier, powder, diaper rash ointment, rubber gloves, eye protection, a clothes pin. Then write on the front of it "Daddy's on Doodie!"

S'more Gift Basket

I get a medium size basket (square, rectangle or round).  I put in a box of graham crackers (usually I take out the packages from the box and arrange inside the basket), add some Hershey bars, and a package of marshmallows. You can even put in a package of fondue skewers!
