Here are a couple of "slush" recipes, followed
by a few Smoothies recipes. (My parents gave us a Smoothie maker for
Christmas, and it's the only way I can get my 2 yr. old to eat fruit!)
1 large pkg. Jell-O (any flavor)
1 cup boiling water
2 cups sugar
4 cups milk
2 liters of 7-Up (or any lemon/lime soda)
juice of one lemon
Dissolve jell-o in boiling water. Add sugar and
stir to dissolve. Cool slightly, add milk. Stir well. Freeze for at least 8
hours in plastic container. Remove from freezer 1- 1 1/2 hours before
serving. Chop up and beat with a mixer to form a thick slush. Add lemon
juice. Fill cups half full with slush, and 1/2 full of 7 -Up.
Banana Slush
5 ripe bananas
1 (6 oz) can frozen orange juice
1 (46 oz) can pineapple juice

Blend bananas in a blender. Mix with orange
juice. Add pineapple juice and mix well. Mix sugar and water together and
add to the banana mixture. Freeze until solid. Fill cups 1/2 full of frozen
mixture. Fill cups rest of the way with 7-Up.
