Perfect Kraft Macaroni & Cheese

With Variations

by: Shiloah Baker

I have discovered certain "tricks" if you will, on how to make Kraft Macaroni and Cheese the creamiest!   We also have a few variations that we follow if needed.

Heat the water to boiling.  Add a pinch of salt right before adding to pasta.   Cook the pasta between 6-7 minutes- DO NOT overcook!  Set a timer if you are forgetful!

Add butter immediately after straining.  Mix the butter until completely melted.  Then add the cheese powder.  Mix the best you can.

Finally, add the milk.  You will have perfectly creamy macaroni every time if you follow these instructions!

Variations:

We love new and creative ways to eat mac and cheese!  Here are some that we have tried or heard of:

Tuna- add a can of drained tuna fish.

Peas- Cook the peas in the extra water macaroni water and then add to the pasta when cooked.

Ketchup- sometimes I add some ketchup in my bowl of mac and cheese- mmm!

Chicken and salsa- add a can of drained chicken breast and 1 cup of salsa--ole!
