New Ways To Add Spark To Green Beans

Does your family or you, ever get tired of eating plan green beans?  Here are a couple of recipes to try.  Don't knock them till you try them!  They are so good!

Green Bean Almandine

Green beans (frozen or canned)
1 tbl. lemon juice
Dash salt
1/2 cup package of slivered almonds
1/2 cup water (If using frozen)

Add all ingredients.  Bring to a boil. Simmer and stir for about 5 minutes.

 

Dilly Beans

Green beans (frozen or canned)
fresh or dry dill
Dash salt
1/2 cup water, if using frozen.

Add all ingredients.  Bring to a boil. Simmer and stir for about 5 minutes.

Beth's Homemade Chicken Soup

 Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and add the pasta. Simmer over medium heat until the pasta is cooked, about 15-20 minutes.
Serve with bread and salad. This rarely if ever gets wasted at our house! It's WONDERFUL on a wet, cold day!more
