Put a medium sized saucepan on stove and turn on
heat to medium high. When pan is slightly warm, pour in 1 cup sugar. Stir
constantly until sugar becomes brown. It will turn into caramel. Working
quickly, pour a few tablespoons of the caramel into each ramekin, tilting
the mixture around so it covers the bottom and sides. comes caramel.
Place ramekins in baking dish and add about 2 inches of hot water. Bake at
325 for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove and refrigerate for one hour. To serve, turn upside
down onto a small plate.
