Dipping Oil for Bread

By Shiloah Baker

Dipping oil for bread

A growing trend among upscale restaurants is the complimentary fresh bread with a concoction of homemade herbs and spices.  You can make this yourself with few ingredients and inexpensively.

Spice Ingredients:

1 Fresh garlic clove
1 pinch of red pepper flakes
1 tsp. crushed rosemary
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1 tsp. kosher salt

Mix together.  Add liberal amounts of olive oil and dip hot, fresh bread in it as you eat.  Mmmm!

For dehydrator, cover bottom of each tray with plastic wrap. Don’t use wax paper. Leave space around the center and edges so the dehydrator can ventilate. This takes a little bit, so be patient.
